| Girls who are unable
to attend regular meetings because of distance, health, studies or physical
challenge may become members of Lone Units. This includes Canadian girls
living outside Canada on a temporary basis.
Lone Units are for Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers, but in exceptional circumstances, arrangements will be made for a Lone Brownie. Wherever possible, a Lone should be attached to an active Unit to take part in camps and other special activities. Lones carry out the program of their Branch through correspondence with their Lone Guider. Letters, e-mail, cassette or video tapes containing material which will enable the girl to complete parts of the program, are sent to her regularly, and she is expected to reply. Evaluation is done through the Lone Unit except for that done with an active Unit. |
