Did you know that the Girl Guides of Canada are working in close association with
the Shoreline Ambassador Program?

The SHORELINE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM is a national environmental initiative under the Living By Water Project (www.livingbywater.ca). The shoreline Ambassador Program Focus on actions affecting the shorelines of ALL bodies of water: marine, estuarine and freshwater (including lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, ponds, wetlands, reservoirs and canals). Everyone everywhere has an impact on our shorelines. This makes the Shoreline Ambassador Program an inclusive initiative, raising awareness and inspiring action on a Canada-wide scale right down to your own backyard or neighborhood!!!
What does this mean for you as a Guider?
  • The program activities provide a great opportunity for getting your group OUTSIDE!!!
  • All of our Provincial Guide Camps have shorelines!!!
  • The Shoreline Ambassador Program is easy to incorporate into any group activity.

An information kit will reside at the Provincial office. The information kit provides examples of suggested Shoreline Ambassador activities, activity sheets, pamphlets, contact names and addresses of Living By Water partner agencies and a Living by Water Project Prairie Product and Promotional Material order Form. The quickest means of obtaining your information kit is to contact the Living by Water coordinator directly yourself.!!!
