Employers ask, "What do I get?"

If a woman applies for a job with your firm and lists Guiding in her resume or if one of your employees says they are a member of Girl Guides of Canada, take another look. Many women have gained skills and accomplishments that may be invaluable to you as their employer.

SOME HELPFUL TIPS ON HOW TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOUR EMPLOYEE:

  • Check on how long she has been in Guiding and what positions she has held.
  • Find out what trainings she has had through Guiding. They may have given her personnel or managerial skills. They may have equipped her to lead people on outdoor excursions. They may have given her immeasurable organizing skills.
  • She may ask to come in early one day so that she can attend a Guiding function. Don't worry, this lady is likely to more than make up the time!
  • She may be involved in community service with her Guiding unit. What better free advertising could you have than an employee who says how supportive her employer is of the things she does in Guiding?

For all past and future help you have given a Guiding employee

GIRL GUIDES OF CANADA THANKS YOU.
